Walkers, song and concert solidarity for the Dana volunteers

A few weeks ago we talked for the first time of Walkersthe tribute organized by Johnnie Walker to the Dana volunteers. Well, here are both the song and the solidarity concert of the project.

“Walkers” is a musical project that pays tribute to volunteers and anonymous heroes of the Dana de Valencia. The initiative is composed of an unpublished single from the Valencian artist Juan Belda and exclusive audiovisual piece that see the light when fourteen weeks since the tragedy, the moment in which social and media attention before a natural catastrophe tends to lose strength, which translates into a reduction in the volume of aid and the Economic collaboration with those affected. In this hymn to solidarity, real volunteers who supported the recovery of the area in the weeks after disaster participate.

To present the project, tomorrow Saturday, February 8the brand will celebrate a Solidarity concert in the Moon room in Valencia whose funds will be used to help Valencian bands, through the recovery of instruments, record production or tours in collaboration with the Valencian Association of Music Companies (ASVEM). In addition to the own Juan Beldaartists like Panamera Collective, Sara Socas, Commander Twin, Isma Romero, Seventh Hell, Grex, Xaranga Mel de Romer, Dj Oski García and others, in addition to a surprise artist and the presence of Fuertes Cris, last chord, Inés Chamil, Buzzkers And many more. The concert will be presented by Arturo Paniagua. 100% of the collection of the concert will be used to help Valencian bands, through instrument recovery, record production or tours support. A 100% concert aimed at reactivating music in Valencia

“From Johnnie Walker, we want to strengthen our commitment to the area and, especially, with directly affected musicians. Therefore, since the tragedy happened and to date, we have launched different initiatives to be close to Valencia, collecting financial aid or directly supporting bars and premises affected. Today, with ‘walkers’ we raise the voice fourteen weeks after the flood to ask that we continue to support the Valencian people, through our passion: music. Valencia has been and will continue to be a reference in the music scene of our country, but there are many artists who have suffered severe material losses that do not allow them to continue developing their activity. We want to return the hope, the illusion, so that the music never stops sounding in Valencia, ”says Inês Fonseca, Head of Marketing of Johnnie Walker and musician.

The creative project and concept has been devised by Samy Alliance And, in collaboration with Wegowhave implemented next to the brand the musical and communication strategy of all the pieces of ‘Walkers by Johnnie Walker’: musical theme, audiovisual piece by the hand of the hand Nonna –under the direction and realization of Simone Gallucci and the collaboration of Yousef Daoud (Director of Photography) and Gum rose (Art director) -, and solidarity concert, in which Wegow has also worked as a music promoter.

As for the song, Juan Belda explains that: “Born after two weeks helping in locations such as Catarroja or Paiporta with friends and I felt the need to share everything we were living. The feeling of community, that ‘elbow with elbow’ That was created, was the only thing that managed to overcome the sadness that was lived in the streets. October, and that seeks to thank the help that volunteers provided in Valencia. ” The Valencian artist, composer and producer has had the participation of Alberto Vela (piano), Rodrigo Hernández (battery), Manuel Tomás (Master and Mixing); all under the collaboration and direction of Guillermo de Lorenzoas a musical head of the project.
