The Murcian band Wakame continues anticipating his next album, The Provincewith Hugs to the failuresecond preview of the album and whose video clip we premiere today on MondoSonoro.
The topic comes after The Atalayas straighta song with which the group opened this new stage, focusing on the territory, the periphery and its link with Murcia. On this occasion, Wakame reduces the distance and takes the discourse towards a more personal terrain, around relationships, vulnerability and those moments in which it is necessary to accept that things have not gone as planned.
Hugs to the failure It takes its title from training taken to the limit, although here the concept abandons the physical to talk about another kind of resistance. Error and frustration function as a meeting point, while the hug appears as a response when staying upright begins to become more complicated.
The release is now completed with a video clip, which, as in its previous video single, accompanies this turn towards the intimate with an aesthetic of superpositions, blurs and double exposures, constructing a deliberately diffuse image that reinforces the feeling of vulnerability of the subject. A song that leaves the outside landscape in the background to focus on short distances.
The song also allows us to continue delimiting the terrain of The Provincean album that, through its first two previews, seems to propose a journey that goes from the place one comes from to what happens in the shortest distances.
