The Quinquis is a musical project that moves between cañí and the legacy of bands like daft punk either Chromeo. And the best thing is that in its training we meet members of Paradise Phantoms, O’Funkillo, Vetusta Morla and Miss Caffeina.
The Quinquis is a group made up of members of Paradise Phantoms (Marcos Miranda), O’Funkillo (Andreas Lutz), Vetusta Morla (David “El Indio) and Miss Caffeina (Sergio Sastre), but if the band’s line up wasn’t enough, they also perform in society covering none other than The Grecas.
The Quinquis point out that they seek to combine flamenco funk with electronic and danceable funk, hence they cross the Las Grecas classic, “I’m loving you madly” with the sound of Chromeo, or at least those are their objectives when it comes to create what they call the “funkinqui”.
Let us remember that “I am loving you madly” is a song written by Felipe Campuzano and released in 1973 that The Quinquis updated with production by Marcos Miranda and David “El Indio” themselves.
