Van Gogh’s Ear (almost) equals Leire’s mark on lists

La Oreja de Van Gogh has achieved the highest entry of the week on the Spanish singles chart. ‘We are all dancing to the same song’ has been the piece chosen to inaugurate the return of Amaia Montero to the ranks of the group after the dismissal of Leire Martínez. However, after its premiere during TVE’s New Year’s Eve programming, the single has only managed to match what Leire already did with her debut single.

‘My Name’, released last April and very clearly dedicated to his former colleagues from La Oreja de Van Gogh, debuted at number 50 on the Spanish chart accompanied by lyrics that included phrases as accurate as “find someone to replace me” or “two faces and a name.” ‘We are all dancing to the same song’, with a very different theme (God), has entered at number 51 on the list.

Another song that occupied a position similar to these is ‘End of Beginning’, Djo’s song revitalized by TikTok, which this week has gone from position 49 to number 9 in the classification. It is the biggest increase of the week. The rest of the list includes 8belial, yyy891 and JOHNNYFUU with ‘YSL’ (#74); Beny Jr and El Guincho with ‘Lotus Emira’ (#84) and Olivia Dean with ‘Man I Need’ (#97).
