Vampire Weekend announces ‘Only God Was Above Us’, their new album

Vampire Weekend has a new album on the way. The group is already finalizing preparations for ‘Only God Was Above Us’, which will be their first album since the release of ‘Father of the Bride’ in 2019.

Vampire Weekend’s fifth studio album is due out on April 5 and the first two trailers, ‘Capricorn’ and ‘Gen-X Cops’, will be available on February 16. They are two of the 10 songs that will make up the album.

Along with the announcement of ‘Only God Was Above Us’, Vampire Weekend have announced a concert at Austin’s Moody Amphitheater to mark the solar eclipse. The show will take place on Monday, April 8, and it is rumored that they may preview some songs from this new project.
