U2 to release immersive film of Las Vegas shows

Over the years, U2 have been releasing documentaries or filming of a good part of their tours. Now they announce an immersive documentary film of their concerts at the famous Sphere Las VegasThe director of the film is himself The Edge.

The good news is that the sensations of concerts that were supposed to be truly spectacular visually will be reproduced. The bad news is that the documentary will only be shown at the Sphere in Las Vegas (United States).

“V-U2”which is what the film will be called, has been directed by the band’s guitarist, The Edgenext to Morleigh Steinbergduring the concerts held in this spectacular dome. The film has been created especially for screening in this venue, which means that its screening in regular movie theaters is currently a utopia. Especially since “the film has been created specifically for Sphere, and will use the venue’s technology to create an experience that is only possible in this new generation entertainment center.” In fact, it is the first film to be shot with Big Sky high-definition cameras.

The film will begin screening on September 5th and tickets will go on sale on August 23rd, although members of the U2 Fan Club can already buy them today. The cheapest price is $100.
