The Irish U2 have shared their new video clip and single, “Street Of Dreams”, produced by Jacknife Lee and possibly one of their best singles in recent years.
The song is accompanied by the video clip that they filmed a few months ago in the streets of Mexico City, so there was a lot of expectation to hear what came out of there.
With part of its chorus in Spanish, “Street Of Dreams” is a song that maintains the main hallmarks of the group over the years, and that surprises us by having Larry Mullen Jr. back behind the drums after not having been able to perform at the Las Vegas Sphere concerts in 2023 and 2024 due to back surgery.
“Street Of Dreams” has been published by Jacknife Lee, with whom the band had previously worked in 2006 and in 2023, in addition to publishing a solo album or producing artists such as The Killers, Editors or Robbie Williams among many others.
Despite how much the chorus is repeated, “Street Of Dreams” is possibly one of the best singles that the group has released in recent years, which provides optimism for what we can find on their next album, an album that is expected for the end of 2026, coinciding with the group’s fiftieth anniversary.
“Street Of Dreams” arrives after the two EP’s “Days of Ash” and “Easter Lily”both published this year, specifically in February and April. The new album will be their first since they released “Songs Of Experience” in 2017.
