Travis They share a new single, the third, from what will be their tenth studio work. The song is titled “Bus” and in its video clip they feature the British comedian Adam Buxton as a special guest.
Next July 12th, album number ten by the Glasgow quartet will be released. It will be titled “LA Times” and so far we have been able to hear three songs as a preview. The last of them is this “Bus” that you can listen to below these lines and that maintains that acoustic and pop sound that has always marked the trajectory of the band. Fran Healy.
Of “Bus,” Healy says: “I was on vacation, looking out the window, watching all the boats bobbing in the sea. She was trying to write a song and nothing was coming out. It reminded me of all the years I spent waiting at bus stops. You never think it will come, but if you wait long enough, it will eventually appear. Looking out to sea, at all the little sailboats, I imagined all the bands and artists sitting on them waiting for that illuminating gust of wind, which would carry them to fame and fortune. In the midst of all these ideas, a small but great melody came to me and I wrote this song minutes later.”
To accompany the song, the group has also shared a video clip filmed in Scotland and for which they have featured the comedian Adam Buxton as a guest star. Buxton is a member of the duo Adam And Joe and runs a podcast, has signed scripts, comedy books, etc. Buxton himself has commented on his cameo that he feels “honored that at least part of my face appears in the new video of a band that I love. Now my dream is to one day get the full body cameo (laughs)… but there is “We have to start somewhere.”
