Touring through Salas 15 opens call for applications

The State Circuit of Popular Music Touring Venues (GPS), after fourteen successful editions in which more than 500 bands have performed, launches its fifteenth call, #GPS15, which will be open to bands and soloists in 2024 from Tuesday, September 10, starting at 11 a.m., until Wednesday, September 25, starting at 6 p.m.

Among the bands that have participated in previous editions of Girando Por Salas are Viva Suecia, La Bien Querida, Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, RAYDEN, Travis Birds, Carlos Sadness, and many others.

Participating artists must have a maximum of 3 correctly published LPs. The final list of approved artists will be made public on October 8, the public voting will open on October 9, which will end on October 16; and the announcement of the 22 groups and soloists selected for Girando por Salas will be made public on October 28.

The aim of GPS is to support emerging artists of all styles, both soloists and bands, by offering support for the holding of concerts within the circuit of venues throughout Spain as a means of promoting the most lively expression of popular music. These concerts will be held outside the Autonomous Community of residence of each artist or at least 300 km from it. This is intended to promote new musical talents and their dissemination beyond their natural sphere of influence, as well as to encourage their professionalization. Likewise, artists will receive support for the production and promotion of their work, thereby promoting record production and the stability of the circuit of live music venues.

22 artists (bands and soloists) will be selected from all the applications received that meet the requirements and a calendar will be drawn up in coordination with the selected venues and artists, with a minimum of six concerts for each artist, which will take place between November 29, 2024 and June 1, 2025, inclusive. Those selected will also be granted a grant for Record Production and Promotion.
