Tom Waits, narrator of a homeless documentary

We need more Tom Waits. That is clear, but we also did not expect the news about him to arrive from Italy. The American artist is the narrator of a documentary about homeless.

“IL Fattore Umano” (“The human factor”) It is an Italian documentary series of eight episodes of journalism of forty -six minutes that reveal how human rights are violated in authoritarian regimes, self -critics or even within democratic nations. It focuses on the situation and difficulties of the most vulnerable and oppressed minorities.

His new episode – which is broadcast today in Italy and can be seen on-line tomorrow Wednesday, February 26– Title “Last Fermata” (“The last trip”) and is the last of the series. It is a report on US -homeless citizens, people without social security and living in extreme marginalization conditions.

Tom Waits is the narrator of this episode, who will participate performing songs with the acoustic guitar and with the piano, in addition to reading the poem “Seeds on Hard Ground”. The episode will be available in this same link from tomorrow Wednesday.
