Thundercat, confirmed in Pulse of Gaia with Gorillaz

Gorillaz is the head of Pulse of Gaia, new Madrid event conceived as a mixture of music and environmental awareness festival. The premiere of Pulse of Gaia will take place on September 20 at the Autonomous University of Madrid and Gorillaz was the first confirmation.

Today, the new event has confirmed another heavyweight: Thundercat. The American artist will carry his funk sensitivity and virtuosity with the bass to the Madrid festival. In addition, it should be remembered that one of the best songs from Gorillaz’s last album, ‘Cracker Island’, is precisely a collaboration of both artists. Maceo Plex, American DJ, also adds to the poster.

Pulse of Gaia is a festival that is recognized innovative and, organized by Zamna Group, a global reference in musical tourism, announces a fusion of art, sound and nature with the purpose of “celebrating life and protecting the planet through an immersive and transformative experience.” The NGO Re: Wild is a collaborating entity and it seems that Pulse of Gaia, the online network of collaborative energy work in favor of the Earth, is behind the project. The festival will be held in a natural environment, at kilometer 15 of the M-607 between Fuencarral and El Pardo.

“Press of Gaia will channel the pulse of the Earth through scenarios that will host actions of different genres,” explains the press release. “Thus, the festival will bring the most avant -garde artists who define the sound of a generation, all on an immersive journey of music and emotion, with the deep and implacable energy of the underground.”

Gorillaz will celebrate his 25 years of career in Pulse of Gaia and, in addition, he will give in this event the only 2025 concert outside the United Kingdom. Damon Albarn will perform with his full band and accompanied by Jamie Hewlett’s visuals.

Tickets for the Gorillaz concert in Pulse of Gaia are already on sale in different batches, right now at 95 euros, after exhausting the first two batches, 65 and 75 euros, respectively. Interestingly, Gorillaz have announced that they will act in “Zamna Festival”, not in “Pulse of Gaia”, although they indicate the same date.
