Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), surprise guest of Fred Again..

Thomas Bangalter has appeared by surprise as a special guest of Fred Again.. next to Peter Winter and Busy P. A luxury line up in a session for history at the Pompidou Center in Paris.

On October 25, the former member of daft punk joined Fred Again..to Erol Alkandirector of the Phantasy Sound label, already Peter Winterfounder of Ed Banger Records and originally manager of their own daft punkfor a surprise session of DJ in it Pompidou Center in Paris. The occasion coincided with the 20th anniversary celebration of French record label Because Music.

In his first DJ set in sixteen years, Bangalter performed tracks from daft punk such as “Rollin’ & Scratchin'”, “Digital Love” and “Contact”, plus “Galvanise” from The Chemical Brothers and part of the soundtrack of “One Battle After Another” of Johnny Greenwood.

Thomas Bangalter made his last live appearance with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christothe other half of daft punkduring the performance of The Weeknd at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Still, at the beginning of the year the duo joined the video game Fortniteadding songs from their catalog. His solo career took off in 2023 with “Mythologies”, his first album.
