Thom Yorke, on the return of Radiohead: "I don't give a shit"

Music news

Thom Yorke will release an album this year, according to Ed O’Brien

After giving the scoop on Radiohead’s concerts taking place in 2027, Ed O’Brien has apparently confirmed in an interview with Consequence that Thom Yorke is going to release a solo album before the end of 2026.

The British guitarist is promoting his latest solo album, ‘Blue Morpho’, which will be available on May 22. At the moment, the orchestral title track is already on platforms.

Apparently, he won’t be the only member of Radiohead to release a solo album this year: “There’s The Smile, there’s… Thom has a solo album coming out later this year, I think,” O’Brien has stated.

He believes that Radiohead and the solo projects of each member can “coexist” perfectly: “The Radiohead thing can go off in a hurry, that is the mothership, I think, for everyone, but we also have small satellites,” he declared. If O’Brien’s words come true, Yorke’s LP will be his first solo release since ‘Confidenza’ and ‘ANIMA’.
