The great international blues party, the Bilbao Blues Festivalwill take place from July 25 to 27, with free admission.
For the fourth year, the blues will flood the streets of the Biscayan capital thanks to the Free Music Festival held at the end of June. Names of The Kings of Blues, Blackburn Brothers, Delanie Pickering, Terrence Simien, Vanessa Collier, Ray Collin’s Hot Club and Chicago Blues Summer Tour The main stage will be taken, located in the Arenal. Nor will the blues legend miss Jimmie Vaughanthat the award of the contest will take for its trajectory and that will offer its only concert in the state in the town.
The festival has completed its poster with the incorporation of the artist Alfonso José Martínez, known as To the dualand considered a classic rock and roll teacher. It will be one of the main dishes of the mythical scenario of the Arenal Kiosk along with others such as Sweet Marta & The Blues Shakers or the young American artist Delanie Pickering.
As for parallel activities, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao will offer on Friday 25 free pedagogical concerts aimed at children, within the framework of its Topart program. The duo Diablues ta Bluezifer Next to the eitb presenter Oihan Vega and the bassist Nagore Sanz They will participate in this didactic activity. And on Sunday morning the successful free Boogie-Woogie classes will also return in the Arenal Kiosk, open to the participation of all audiences, with or without experience in dance
On the other hand, this year the city will witness the final of the final of the Volotage Blues Challenge state during the festival. The four best bands on the current panorama will compete to get a place in the European Blues Challenge, one of the most important international events of this musical genre.
