This is the poster for the third edition of the DalecandELA Fest

The organization of the DalecandELA Fest announces the final lineup for its third edition with a dozen new additions headed by The Hanging Stars.

As we already told you at the beginning of summer, the weekend of September 20, 21 and 22, the old port of Getxo (Bizkaia) will become a solidarity stage thanks to the third edition of the DalecandELA Festan event for all audiences, with free entry, which, in addition to music, will combine artistic and sporting activities. After the success of its second edition in September last year, the non-profit association DalecandELA will once again transform the Old Port into a unique stage where the main objective will be to raise awareness of ALS and raise funds for research in search of a cure and support for those who suffer from it.

The Hanging Stars, Galerna, Basurita, Coppel, Trampas, Bringas, Lee Perk, Deep Sea Monk, No More Bullshit, The Binilos and Rock & Kids complete the poster and join those previously announced Luke Winslow-King, Santero and the Boys, McEnroe, Burning, Los Brazos, Still River, Cordovas, Smile and Tarque & The Riff Association.

As for the numerous activities that will take place, there is the solidarity swimming challenge “Travesía OCCIDENT por la ELA”, the Yoga Workshop, also sponsored by OCCIDENT; and a participatory day of Herri Kirolak for boys and girls from 6 to 14 years old where an exhibition of different disciplines of this sport will take place. There will be children’s activities during the day on Saturday with Kids & Us and the Magician Oliver, awareness-raising with the Sustainability Workshop by the company Sidenor and the best gastronomy, all aimed at raising awareness of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and raising funds for research and support for the sick. With the help of Irisbond, there will be a Visual Battle through “eye-tracking” technology, a technique that facilitates communication and interaction with the environment of people who have lost speech and mobility, as is the case of those affected by ALS.

Since its inception in 2019, the DalecandELA association has worked with the objectives of giving visibility to this disease in society, governments and institutions, to raise funds for research, to help improve the quality of life of those affected by ALS and always conveying that the important thing in life is the journey, knowing how to enjoy it with joy, optimism and a spirit of improvement. To this end, DalecandELA carries out initiatives and events such as art exhibitions, sports challenges, trips, motivational talks, challenges and even has a soundtrack recorded by musical groups from Getxo for charitable purposes.

DalecandELA Fest adds more charitable actions to its program with the participation of the company Tamoin, a team of volunteers will provide support and assistance to the sick and people with special needs who attend the festival.
