‘This Is Me… Now’ could be Jennifer Lopez’s last album

This Friday, Jennifer Lopez releases ‘This Is Me… Now’, her ninth studio album… and perhaps her last? The artist has confessed that she is not sure if she will make a new album after the release of the new one.

In an interview with ET, Jennifer Lopez has spoken about all the involvement she has had behind her next project and the effort she has put into it. «We did a lot of different covers. We try to make very special things for the fans, collector’s editions and things like that that they can always keep. The truth is that I don’t even know if I will record another album after this one,” the singer revealed.

After dropping the bomb, Jennifer Lopez wanted to reaffirm her announcement. “Don’t tell Benny (the artist’s manager and close friend) what I’m thinking, but yes, this could be my last album,” she commented, laughing.

‘This Is Me… Now’ comes 22 years after he released ‘This Is Me… Then’: «I feel like it’s the end of a kind of era for me and the beginning of a new one, so never say never, but now “I feel like I have really put my heart and soul into this, I am very excited and it has cost me a lot.”

Along with the release of the album, ‘This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’, starring Jennifer Lopez herself and directed by Dave Meyers, will premiere on Prime Video. “I didn’t want to follow the traditional path, so I created this cinematic experience that was born from being in the studio and realizing that the music, although it told a beautiful story, didn’t tell everything,” highlighted the singer.
