Third edition of the Spanish Academy of Music Awards

The gala of the 3rd edition of the Spanish Academy of Music Awards already has a date. On May 26, the grand gala will take place in Madrid, bringing together various names of the most prominent people on the current Spanish scene.

But, as we said, the application registration period opened yesterday and will be active until February 2 at 10:00 p.m.. in the website of the Academy of Music of Spain.

In its last edition, the Spanish Academy of Music Awards brought together more than one hundred and forty artists, selected from among the almost five thousand proposals received. At the gala, the work of artists of the stature of Rozalén, Amaia, Dani Fernández, Nathy Peluso and Alcalá Norte, among many others, was awarded. Music and cultural personalities such as Asier Etxeandía, Love of Lesbian, Leire Martínez, India Martínez, Mikel Izal, Leonor Watling, Xoel López and Miguel Ríos also participated in presenting the awards. The celebration was broadcast live on RTVE’s La 2 and the YouTube channel of the Spanish Music Academy. In its first edition, held in 2024, artists such as Arde Bogotá, Iván Ferreiro, C. Tangana and Silvia Pérez Cruz were some of the names awarded.

With this third edition, the Spanish Academy of Music Awards are established as the awards par excellence of the music sector in our country. More details of the gala will be revealed soon, as well as the nominated artists.

The Spanish Music Academy is a non-profit association established in 2022 at the initiative of a large group of professionals in the music sector – artists, authors, producers, managers, technicians, promoters and other agents -, with the purpose of representing its group in an integrative manner, serving as a meeting, reflection and projection space for the professional fabric that makes music possible in our country. Currently, around 1,200 members are part of the Academy. The Academy promotes the values ​​of excellence, talent, solidarity and collective effort, aspiring to become the common home of music in Spain from which avenues for the artistic, professional, educational and social development of the musical community are explored and developed, in collaboration with other organizations in the sector, as well as promoting alliances with public administrations and other institutional agents.
