On May 23, Domino will publish “Crooked Wing”which will be the fifth album of the Barnett brothers and the first in six years. It is a record expected by its fans and possibly will be one of the important records at the quality of the season, since these New Puritans are not a current group.
“Crooked Wing” will be produced by Jack Barnett next to Graham Suttonmember of the legendary project Bark Psychosis. And if there were not enough, the Barnett have launched as progress a double single that consists of the songs “Bells” – for more than seven minutes – and “Industrial Love Song”, a shorter piece that has nothing less than with Caroline Polachek as a guest voice, with whom they create a warm and precious atmosphere.
On “Industrial Love Song”, Jack Barnett says that “it is a duet between two cranes in a construction work. Caroline sings the role of one crane, I can not touch (their movements are controlled by the operator), but when the sun comes out they expect their shadows to cross. For his part, George points out that: “It is difficult to assign a period of time to this song. It is progressive music made with instruments that have been for hundreds of years.”
An independent music video of the renowned artist and photographer also premieres Harley Weir and these new puritanswith “Industrial Love Song” soundtrack. The band and Weir are friends and creative collaborators for a long time.
“Crooked Wing” It will go on sale on May 23 in multiple digital formats, CD and vinyl, through Domino.
