The Villanos del Jazz series announces its programming

Madrid will once again become one of the great European jazz stages this autumn with a new edition of Jazz Villains. We will be able to see artists like Imarhan, Andrea Motis, Mark Guiliana and a long etcetera.

This next edition of the cycle will start on September 20 and that this year it will expand its program with concerts at the Albéniz Theater and a new collaboration with RTVE to record part of your programming on the Monumental Theater.

The 2026 edition will also celebrate the centenary of the birth of Miles Davis and John Coltranetwo essential figures in the world of jazz, whose legacy is translated into a program that combines big international names with artists who represent the current evolution of the genre.

Among the first confirmations are Samara Joysinger and songwriter Tori Kellythe bassist Richard Bonathe pianist Michel Camilo, the singer Lizz Wrightthe trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf and the guitarist Al Di Meolaalong with proposals such as Infinity Song, Andrea Motis, Agnes Nunes or Benny Sings.

The festival is once again committed to a program open to different musical influences. Thus, together with contemporary jazz references such as Emma-Jean Thackray, Alfa Mist, Nate Smith, Camilla George, Laura Misch, Moses Yoofee Trio or Corto Altothe poster incorporates projects that range between soul, R&B, flamenco, African and Latin American music. In this line there are artists such as Judith Hill, Munir Hossn, Imarhan, Leonor Watling next to Leo Sidran, Ana Popovic, Vincen García, Abe Rábade, Duquende and Paco de Lucía Legacyin addition to names like Laura Cox, DK Harrell, Los Saxos del Averno, Elles Bailey, Clara Peya, Twanguero or Gustavo Díaz.

One of the main novelties of this edition will be the incorporation of the Albéniz Theater and the Monumental Theater as new headquarters of the cycle. In addition, some concerts will be recorded for later broadcast on RTVEan initiative that will give greater national projection to a program that for more than six months will bring together established figures and new voices from the international scene in Madrid, transforming the city into an international reference for the genre.

Villanos del Jazz has announced that the lineup will continue to grow in the coming months with new additions. Tickets for the first concerts will be available starting June 30, at 11:00 a.m., through the official festival website.
