The third edition of the Iwa Fest in Melilla advances

The autonomous city of Melilla will host the third edition of Iwa Fest with the actions of Baiuca, Lala Tamar, Rocío Márquez y Bronquio, Kawtar Sadik or Verde Prato among others.

Iwa Fest continues to shape its proposal for the third edition, incorporating four new names to the poster Baiuca, Lala Tamar, Imarhan either Gaya Su Akyol, already confirmed previously.
In addition, Iwa Fest has presented its third edition at the Casa Arabe space in Madrid with performances by Jubantouja and Reqteq last Saturday, June 22, showing the renewal of the collaboration with this institution.
The festival will take place between September 30 and October 5, 2024 in various venues in the autonomous city of Melilla, such as the Victoria Grande Fort or the headquarters of the UNEDand will feature, as in previous editions, a varied cultural offering ranging from round tables and conferences to film screenings and exhibitions.

From Flamenco and the electronics of the cantaora Rocio Marquez with the producer Bronchusto the journey from yesterday to today of Ana Arsuaga under her blanket of Green meadow with its folk and intimate Basque sound with avant-garde overtones. To that project where the fascination for the female performers “Chikhates” of Widad Mjama and Khalil Epik, known artistically as My Father, My Love and, whose proposal will bring to the Iwa Fest stage the renewal of the axis between poetry, contemporary music and the heritage of ancestral African feminism. Finally, from Casablanca, Kawtar Sadik He will bring his particular club sound mixing Arabic with Berber, machines and his voice in a perfect mixer for the dance floor.

And Iwa Fest, as we have said in these pages since the first edition, is a festival rich in concept, content, form and authenticity that could only be held in this gateway between several worlds that is Melilla, and which for the third time, stands as the epicentre of understanding between cultures.
