The third edition of Radar Joven arrives this month

The third edition of Young Radarcycle organized by the Departments of Culture and Family of the Community of Madrid in collaboration with Madrid Live will take place between October 17 and November 10.

There will be more than fifty proposals of all styles that will be part of the programming of this third edition of the Radar Joven 2024 cycle, between October 17 and November 10, both inclusive.

Since its launch, Radar Joven’s vocation is to make visible and value the country’s young musical talent. In these weeks a total of fifty-four emerging artists from all corners of the country will perform, who will perform in many of the main venues in the city: from The Sun at Café Berlin, Clamores, Maravillas and Photo Booth. Thus, up to twenty-two different spaces will present the new talents on the national scene.

This new season will start on October 17 at the Eslava Theaterwith performances by the artist and producer Oddliquor and Jobin an evening tinged with miscegenation and urban sounds. From there we will see the heterogeneous proposals of dozens of bands and soloists unfold throughout the city that represent the vibrant present of young music and its latest trends, with approaches to all genres, from guitars or without them: rock and pop in all its varieties, the dark post-punk in vogue, the miscegenation, the shoegaze – another genre that is enjoying a kind of revival – and the urban.

We will be able to enjoy the progressive and humorous inventiveness of Gilipojazz to the nineties guitar indie pop of Madrid’s Junio, passing through the female duo close to folk Charli’s Granddaughtersthe post-punk of Broken Daisy either Ghouljaboyand the energy of the already consolidated Mint and the Extremaduran group Guadiana leeches. The playful funk of Canteo!the pop of Diankathe fusion of the people of Malaga Korashethe Valencian trap Ly Rainethe electronic pop of Patricia Lint and Emotional Ninathe noise pop of the people of Albacete Pale Complexion or the dark pop of Xeniathey give us a sample of the variety of styles and artists that the public will be able to enjoy during these weeks.

In addition to the aforementioned venues, this year there will be concerts in other reference spaces in the capital spread throughout all its neighborhoods, such as Barracudas, Real Owl, Café La Palma, Contraclub, Gruta 77, Siroco, Vesta and Independance. They are incorporated for the first time Eslava Theater and the New Art Cornereither.

Last year’s edition closed with more than five thousand attendees and thirty sold outs, which suggests a new edition equally appreciated by the public. All tickets are priced at seven euros, although Youth Card holders can benefit from a fifty percent discount. More information at: www.esmadrid.com/agenda/radar-joven
