The Strokes announce new album for this summer

The Americans The Strokes They have raised the eyebrows about what will be a new work for the group. At the moment they have only released the title, “Reality Awaits”.

In 2022, The Strokes released what is their last studio album to date. We talk about “The New Abnormal”and since then there has been no information regarding a new album. But it seems that things are going to change sooner rather than later.

This summer we will have a new album from the group and it will be called “Reality Awaits”. The band has spread it through a short video on social networks in which we can see an old car from the eighties and hear just a few seconds of what is supposed to be one of the songs on the album. Although in reality it seems like the soundtrack of the advertisement for that Nissan car that appears in the image stepping on the accelerator. The phrase that accompanies the image is “In the flesh, it’s even sexier.”

On the other hand, it is assumed that the recording was carried out with Rick Rubin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, etc.) as a producer for a while now. In fact, in 2022, it was Rubin himself who said that they had finished some sessions in Costa Rica for what would be the group’s next album.

We will see if what we will finally hear comes from those sessions or not. In a few months we will be able to confirm it or even sooner, as long as the group decides to release preview singles from the album.
