The special 2025 Sonoro Festivals is already on the street

One more year we just started the distribution of our special number dedicated to the festivals of this year 2025. A very complete and essential guide to program your musical activity during the next months.

In the year of live music of the Association of Musical Promotersin which the activity of the direct in our country was summarized throughout the last year, the Minister of Culture Ernest Urtasun Domènech began his editorial writing: “Live music is one of the richest generators of cultural and vital experiences”. A simple phrase, but that all music fans have clear. Who has no memories set in memory lived in a concert or at any festival? Possibly all the people who are reading these lines have them. It gives so much if we have eighteen and if we are fifty years old, because the tours, concerts and festivals have become regular appointments in our country. You know, the country of festivals. The topic one who is usually attended: the country of the thousand festivals. With its lights and their shadows, it is true, but above all with those infinite experiential and vital experiences that will affect thousands of people in each season and which the minister speaks.

We assume that, if you are reading these lines, music in general and live music in particular is an important part of your life. Surely you are looking at which festivals you can go during this season or reading the special sections of the events of which you already have your entry. And something good must have that of the country of the thousand festivals. That you can choose, that you can always find one that fits you for dates, for musical tastes, for the price of their fertilizers, for closeness, because you know that your friends will be there, because it enjoys the best climate in summer, because the landscape is beautiful in the area where it is celebrated, because its infrastructure makes you feel at home, because that group acts that you have never had the opportunity to see or because that artist acts Failures The reasons can be many and very different, as well as the way of living them. Because, as we said, we can choose based on our interests. We no longer live that distant moment in the time in which a festival was a rarity and organize the plan to go an adventure of huge dimensions. Times in which the festivals were mitigated by their shortage in front of the current moment in which we mitigate them for what we have lived and felt in them.

In 1969, Woodstock would put the founding stone, we said a few months ago in our Observatory – Spat in which we analyze different aspects related to the musical sector in our country -, of a formula that is replicated today with a thousand variants. But always with pop music as a festival and also cultural community experience. Then Glastonbury, Donington Park, Reading or Lollapalooza would arrive, but also Benicàssim, Spring Sound, Sonorama, Sónar, Mad Cool, Resurrection, BBK Live, Azkena and many more. And so on to several hundred, of different sizes and conditions, but also of ambitions. Some festivals want to offer the largest and most monumental concerts, others prefer short distance, the most intimate experience. Diverse scales and identities that are possible thanks to the fact that, over time, the maturity of the sector has also arrived.

Like any sector, it also has its cons and its problems, but in our hands it is, as consumers, get away from the events that do not meet our expectations. And when we talk about expectations we refer to whether their agglomerations go beyond what we are willing to accept, whether the overlapping of their artists affects or not to see what we have gone to the festival, whether the sound, the prices of drink and meals, the facilities, the services, the accesses or the treatment are within what we expect. As we said, it is in our rights as consumers to reward this or that event that we loved by returning year after year or definitively crossing it on our list of festival candidates next summer. No one forces us to pay for something that does not convince us, but let’s think that in us also falls some responsibility that an event is a pleasant experience. Let’s behavior well, respect others and especially enjoy and let us enjoy music. And now, welcome to this new Special Sound Mondo Festivals.
