The Spanish Wave will be presented for the first time at the Basque festival Bogaboga Festival to an artist as part of the programming of its second edition. The chosen ones are I Am Divefrom Seville.
Organized by Gin Music and Dabadabathe Bogaboga Festibala festival is growing and expanding its venues throughout the month of September. It will host performances in iconic venues in Donostia such as Chillida Leku, Aieteko Parkea, Kursaal, Kutxa Fundazioa Kluba, Dabadaba.
And the proposal selected by The Spanish Wave is the duo from Seville I Am Dive, who will perform at the Kursaal Terraces after being chosen from among the two hundred proposals registered. Their way of combining electronic music, guitars and melancholy has led them to be a group that has been able to tour various parts of the world (from the United States to Japan, passing through Iceland, South Korea, Sweden, Ukraine and others). The performance will take place on Saturday 14 September and they will perform material from their five albums and almost a dozen EPs.
There will also be conferences held as a summer course with various professionals from the live music and media sectors. These experts will discuss topics such as the creation of festivals, their cultural impact and communication strategies to attract young audiences.
In the days leading up to the Boga Boga Festibala, there will be performances in different parts of the city, such as a special concert at the Kutxa Fundazioa Kluba in Tabakalera, a programme at Dabadaba, Keler Stage, Aiete Park, the Kursaal Terraces and the Chiilida-Leku Museum.
The Kursaal Terraces, for their part, will fill the stage with international and national artists to complete the programming on September 14 and 15 with names such as those of The Wave Pictures, Pipiolas, Nine Unknown, Teo Lucadamo, Pinpilinpussies, Nice and many others. The Spanish Wave is a project for the internationalisation of Spanish talent that aims to help in the export of emerging artists and bands from our country, participating with “showcases” in the most important fairs, showcase festivals and musical events in the world, with the presence of professionals from the national and international industry. It works closely with booking agencies, record labels, and national and international promoters. The Spanish Wave has partners such as AIE, the SGAE Foundation, Instituto Cervantes, Live Nation Spain and Mondo Sonoro.
