The Spanish Wave opens call for Athens Music Week

Athens Music Week and The Spanish Wave They open a call to actively participate and perform in the most important festival-conference of the Greek music industry. The Spanish Wave will participate again in 2025 presenting a national artist.

The Spanish Wave is presented for the fourth consecutive year at the boutique festival, an alternative destination, where music fans and industry experts from the “Eastern Mediterranean” countries come together to interact, share diversified musical experiences and exchange knowledge about the directions of the contemporary multicultural market.

Athens Music Week is a relatively young festival since it was founded in 2018 but it has positioned itself within the sector very quickly. Its leitmotif is “Connecting cultures, inspiring innovation” and in 2025 it will celebrate seven years of the May 7 to 10.

Like every year, the countdown to the event begins with the launch of the open call for submissions that are an important and integral part of it. Athens Music Week offers the stage to young artists, new bands and musical projects from Greece and abroad and from all musical genres to display their talent in front of professionals and musical experts from the national and international market: managers, bookers, promoters, A&Rs, etc.), to live a unique experience and explore new and exciting opportunities.

The Spanish Wave is a project for the internationalization of Spanish talent that aims to help in the export of emerging artists and bands from our country, participating with “showcases” in the most important fairs, showcase festivals and musical events in the world, with the presence of professionals from the national and international industry. The project works closely with booking agencies, record labels, both national and international promoters with partners such as AIE, the SGAE Foundation, Instituto Cervantes, Ticketmaster, Live Nation España, Mondo Sonoro and Radio 3.
