The internationalization project of Spanish artists The Spanish Wave returns again this year to one of the best festivals for emerging artists in United Kingdom, The Great Escape.
La Plata, Las Dianas, Panam and VVV (Trippin You) They will perform at Horatio’s, the same room that hosted previous editions of the festival. It is located on the famous “Pier” in Brighton and will once again host The Spanish Wave showcase and party.
The Great Escape is celebrated between the May 13 and 16 as one of the most important festivals in the United Kingdom, welcoming more than 25,000 visitors year after year. Always with the premise of discovering new music from around the world.
Four hundred and fifty emerging artists perform at the festival in more than 30 spaces throughout the city and a temporary venue on Brighton beach. Being the ideal place to discover new artists and to see them in an intimate atmosphere before their recognition increases internationally.
The Spanish Wave has been celebrating its official reception for years “Meet The Spaniards”as an entry to the showcases they present each year. On this occasion the four chosen to travel to Brighton are: La Plata, born in Valencia and focused on rock and roll and punk while fusing indie melodies with a nostalgic aesthetic. Las Dianas, who from Granada prioritize their feminist discourse based on acid pop and punk. Panam, an alternative rock band from Barcelona that fuses genres such as indie or electronic. And finally VVV (Trippin You), a radical electronic trio from Móstoles that unites genres such as makina, dubstep or UK Garage.
