The twenty-two groups and soloists selected to be part of the edition are announced #GPS 15 of the cycle Spinning Through Rooms. Among the selected names are shego, Jordana B, The Dianas and Martha Knight.
A total of twenty-two groups and soloists, of varied styles (pop, hip-hop, rock, world music, jazz, soul, folk, author songs…), have been selected for the #GPS15 edition of Girando Por Salas , an initiative of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM) of the Ministry of Culture, with the Coordinating Federation of the Popular Music Circuit (FCMP) being a collaborating entity, made up of the following professional associations: ACCES (State Association of Concert Halls Live Music), APM (Association of Musical Promoters), ARC (Associació de Representatives, Promoters i Managers de Catalunya), ARTE (Association of Technical Representatives of Entertainment), MUSICAT (Associació Professional de Músics de Catalunya), PROMUSICAE (Producers of Music of Spain) and UFI (Independent Phonographic Union).
The list of artists is made up of: Airu Caamaño & Ameixeiras, Calequi and Las Panteras, Crimson, Binary Diagnosis, El nido, Eva Mcbel, Grabu, Jairo Deremache, Jordana B, La Furia, Las Dianas, Marta Knight, Morochos, Nito Serrano & Lapurasangre, Parquesvr, Sangijuelas del Guadiana , Sarria, Shego, Tigre and Diamante, Vangoura and Zabriskie.
These twenty-two artists have been selected from among seven hundred and forty-four who met the rules of the call among a total of eight hundred and twelve registered. All of them will receive aid to hold concerts in venues throughout Spain to promote the liveliest expression of popular music. These concerts (for the development of which one hundred and ninety venues from all over the country have already registered) will be held outside the Autonomous Community of residence of each artist or a minimum of 300km within it. This is intended to promote emerging musical talents and their dissemination beyond their natural sphere of influence, as well as encourage their professionalization. The artists will receive aid for the production and promotion of their works, thereby enhancing both record production and the stability of the live music venue circuit.
In addition to the votes cast by all the representatives of the jury, the public, through the Girando Por Salas websitewas able to vote for his favorite bands and soloists and the twenty most voted had an extra vote to add to those that the selection committee can grant them. Of the twenty-two selected, four have had the support of the popular vote.
