‘The Secret Agent’, ‘Golden’… triumph at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes were awarded on the night of this Sunday, January 11. This time, Brazilian director Kleber Mendonça Filho was able to collect his award for Best Foreign Film for ‘The Secret Agent’ during the ceremony, unlike at the Critics Choice Awards, which was taken away from him by handing it over quickly and in a bad manner during an interview on the red carpet. ‘Sirât’, the Spanish contender, has been left without an award, as has its soundtrack (composed by the brilliant Kangding Ray). Brazilian actor Wagner Moura has been recognized as Best Drama Actor for ‘The Secret Agent’.

‘One Battle After Another’ was another of the most awarded films of the night, winning Best Comedy Film, Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Supporting Actress and Best Screenplay. Teyana Taylor, the award-winning actress, known in the music world for her R&B albums and her collaborations with Kanye West and Kehlani, wins her first Globe.

If ‘One Battle After Another’ has triumphed in comedy, ‘Hamnet’ has triumphed in drama, taking the main prize in this category, and also praising its leading actress, Jessie Buckley. The Globe for Best Comedy Actor went to Timothée Chalamet for ‘Marty Supreme’, and his female counterpart went to Rose Byrne for ‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’.

The television categories have particularly exalted the series ‘Adolescence’, which has won four of the five awards it aspired to, including Best Limited Series. Owen Cooper, of course, has collected the Globe for Best Supporting Actor, at 16 years old. In addition, the Globes have awarded the drama ‘The Pitt’ and the comedy ‘The Studio’.

‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ was another of the stars of the evening, winning Best Animated Film. ‘Golden’, its main song, and a huge success on the charts around the world, has won the Globe for Best Song, beating Miley Cyrus for ‘Avatar’, among others. The Globe for Best Soundtrack went to Ludwig Göransson for ‘Sinners’. ‘Wicked: For Good’, by the way, has left empty. This is how the list of winners looks, via Glamour:
