The San Isidro festivities share their musical programming

The Madrid San Isidro Festivals have announced their programming. And once again, there will be all musical flavors and colors, which means for all types of music-loving audiences.

The San Isidro Festivities are held in Madrid between May 7 and 17and the city is flooded with music, with performances in very diverse settings and with the most varied protagonists. Among the names we can see this year are La Paloma, Xavibo, Fangoria, Vicente Calderón, Bizarre Love Triangle, Rubén Pozo, La Bien Querida, Baiuca, Camels, Las Dianas and many more.

The San Isidro festivities will bring music to Madrid from various stages. There will be concerts in Plaza Mayor, in Las Vistillas, in the Pladera de San Isidro, Matadero Madrid, etc. Apart from orchestras such as Nuevo Versalles, Invictus, Gran Rockset and Panther Show or the tribute to Sara Montiel with Nuria Fergó and the Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band, we will be able to see groups more similar to our musical line such as those mentioned a few lines above.

Other participants will be Amore, Las Migas, Antonio Montoya and Carlos Carmona, Los Chunguitos, DJ’s like Fernanda Arrau, Pablo Pueblo, TIRAYA and PatataOnStereo, Ochoymedio DJ’s and Cascalesetc. The Plaza Mayor will celebrate on the 14th, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the sixtieth anniversary of LOS40, the station that invented the radio formula. A tribute concert of the artists and songs that are already part of our history having achieved number one on LOS40. They will act Miguel Ríos, Alejo Stivel, Sole Giménez, The Refrescos, Celtas Cortos, OBK, Dangerous Friendships, Marilia, Nena Daconte and DePol.

On the patron’s day there will be La Hora del Vermú with Gilda Club, which presents its two resident DJs Yahaira and Digues. And at 6:00 p.m., one of the big events: the live final and awards ceremony of the 46th edition of the Rock Villa de Madrid Awards, the oldest and most recognized competition in Spain. The five finalists (Dear Joanne, Jike, Dura Calá, Carmen Lillo and Catuxa Salom) the cash prizes and other recognitions sponsored by the collaborating entities: Radio 3 and the Society of Artists, Interpreters and Performers (AIE) will be competed for. The Madrid City Council maintains the allocation of 11,000 euros in cash prizes: 6,000 for the first prize, 3,000 for the second, 1,000 for the third and two second prizes of 500 euros. In addition, participating artists will be eligible for two other awards: the Radio 3 Award, which consists of recording the Radio 3 Concerts, and the AIE Award for best performer, which will allow the winner to participate in the first cycle of AIEnRuta Artistas 2027.

Beyond these great stages, the music of the San Isidro Festival will be heard in the most iconic halls of Madrid in twenty concerts that will be held from May 7 to 17. Madrid Sound Live celebrates its 8th edition, betting on the emerging talent of young artists and bands that reflect the diversity of styles of the current scene. In addition, coinciding with the holidays, the Convention Pavilion of the Casa de Campo Fairgrounds will host the Madrid International Record Fair on May 9 and 10.
