The + Sabroson: Summer songs 2025

We recovered our old section “Lo + Sabroson” to review some of the best alternative songs of the summer of 2025, a summer that will end without official and collectively accepted summer song, as in past years they were ‘If I had known you’ of Karol G before you – which rose to number 1 in Spain at the beginning of July 2024- or ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

Open the Playlist of course ‘Malibu’ of Rusowsky, current number 1 in the top 40 of Jenesaispop and mainstream success in Spain (right now it is around Top 20) launched from independence. That is why we do not resist including the current number 1 in our country, ‘You vas Sin (Fav)’ of relas B, the first of the Mallorcan race.

From the Anglo world there are some of the best songs of the summer of the moment, such as ‘Illegal’ by Pinkpantheress, ‘Love me not’ by Ravyn Lenae, ‘Dealer’ by Lola Young, ‘No broke boys (remix)’ of album Lines and Tinashe (current Top 5 in the United Kingdom) or the pop -rock tropical pop -rock of Hayley Williams. In addition, Sophie Ellis-Kexor lives the ‘Dolce Vita’ in her recent Pop Disco candy.

From Spain we highlight the summer themes of Crazy or Julieta, but also Deep cuts as paintings as the Violet House-Pop or the Soled Guitars of St. Tosielo.

You can not miss some of the summer songs that have not conquered the lists but deserve it very strong, such as ‘Midnight Sun’ by Zara Larsson, ‘Girlie Pop’ by Amarae, ‘Jellyfish’ by Sigrid, ‘Last night’, the Haitian kompa of Bad Gyal and Ozuna or ‘Hot Body’ by Ayra Starr, one of the best topics of Afrobeat of the Afrobeat moment.

Nor are we missing some recent recommendations from Jenesaispop: there are ‘Carousel’ by Ferdous, ‘Don’t Wait Up’ of Midnight Generation, ‘Defense’ by Panda Bear and Cindy Lee, ‘Midsummer Pipe Dream’ Nick León who has just been a record of the week and that is one of the best albums in the summer.

The electronics is present in the list especially notably by the hand of Sofia Kourthesis, which in ‘Pure cinnamon’ delivers one of its greatest summer hymns. That seems to have been the purpose of other great summer productions of 2025 such as ‘End of Summer’ of Tame Impala, ‘When this is over’ by Cut Copy, ‘Dream Night’ by Jamie XX or ‘Kimpton’ by Barry Can’t Swim, all of them mixing sound rhythm and elegance.

We also take the opportunity to share some recent findings: Eden Gray’s duet with Cornershop discovered in the forums, as well as the new singles of Mt. Joy, Ayra Starr and Jessica Baio.
