The registration period of the 7th edition of Hiriko Soinuak starts

The seventh edition of the contest of the contest is already underway Hiriko Soinuakwhose registration period is open until July 23.

-In 2024 the contest was attended by 143 artists, with 26% of new participants and 40% growth since its first edition

-The final will take place on September 27 at the San Bizente Park in Barakaldo with the performance of 9 artists

The Barakaldo City Council has launched, for the seventh consecutive year, the musical contest Hiriko Soinuakwith the aim of looking for artists and emerging groups from Euskadi. The contest, whose registration period will be open until July 23, returns to the support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Basque Government, which BBK is added this year, and which will name the Equality Prize.

Among the awards are still the recording, production and mastering of an album in the studies of Gaua Producciones for the winning band of the main category and for the best Barakaldo band. The BBK-Icatad and Euskara winning proposals will record an EP of 4 songs each.

The nine finalist proposals of the main categories, Barakaldo and BBK-Equality will act live in a Final that will take place on September 27 at the San Bizente park in Barakaldo. The winning proposal of Euskara will directly decide the professional jury. The winning projects of the four categories of the contest They will perform on October 24 and 25 at the Festival that will take place in the Herriko Plaza, accompanying bands of recognized trajectory at the state level that will be released later. Both the final and the festival will be free access.

To participate, you have to fill in the registration file available on the Barakaldo City Council website (you can download it here too) and send it to (Email Protected) Until July 23 (day included) together with 2 songs in MP3 format, a promotional photograph and a biography of the project and the photocopy of the DNI or certificate of registration of the components of the group that proves its origin of the CAV. The musical projects that accredit having at least one registered component in Barakaldo will opt for the Best Artist in Barakaldo, in addition to the rest of the categories -in case of meeting the requirements below indicated. The musical projects that prove that, at least, 50% of its components are women will opt for the BBK-sequality award, in addition to the rest of the categories-in case of meeting the requirements below.

Who can participate?

All musical projects that meet the following requirements can be registered in the contest:
-The participating project must have at least one component registered in the Basque Autonomous Community.
-The project components will have to be over 16 years.
-In the time of registration, the participating projects may not have more than an edited album, regardless of whether or not it is subject to a record contract.
-The issues must be original. In case the organization requires, its authorship must be demonstrated.
-The organization, in any of the phases of the contest, may exclude those projects that do not meet the requirements established in the contest bases.
