As you know, the Kalorama festival will be held at the IFEMA Madrid Exhibition Centre from 29 to 31 August. A top-notch line-up has been announced for it. On Thursday 29th, LCD Soundsystem, The Postal Service with Death Cab for Cutie, The Smile, Nation of Language and The Kills will perform. On Friday 30th, Fever Ray, RAYE, Gossip and Yves Tumor will perform. On Saturday 31st, it will be time for Sam Smith, Massive Attack, Jungle, Peggy Gou and Ezra Collective.
Today, The Prodigy will be headlining the event, and on Friday 30th, we will find Fever Ray and RAYE. They promise a “coven of wild dances and pogos.” In addition, a new space has been announced. Artists curated by Madrid collectives such as Antídoto Club, Carbs, Ego-Trip, Mareo, Zsongo Club and La Luz will perform DJ sets with a clubbing spirit. «On Thursday 29th, the beats emanating from this space will be provided by EGO-TRIP, with its members Lier, Texture and Yoryo exploring the roots of house and techno; and by ZSONGO CLUB with Chris Collins and Afri K betting on sounds of amapiano, afrobeat and afro-trap with the essence of the most current music from the black continent.
Friday 30th will be the territory of ANTÍDOTO CLUB, the revolutionary session that has found the balance between urban culture and the most irreverent clubbing, with its top names Yosef, Diego Armando and Maxvll; and La Luz, the concept created by Gazzi with his imaginative electronic music, which will be joined by the Turkish-British Aleksandir and his melodic sensitivity.
On Saturday 31st there will be two different and complementary proposals. On the one hand, CARBS, with disco, boogie and house by the Polish Ketiov and the Chilean Fernanda Arrau hosted by Glenda Galore and her performers. On the other hand, the MAREO platform is highlighting the sound concerns of the new wave of Spanish artists and for the occasion they will have the experimentation of the Galician Akazie, the festive and surprising LaFrancessa from Barcelona and the irreverent breaks of the Granadan 8kitoo.
