The Pogues announce celebration tour with guest voices

The Pogues They continue paying tribute to the deceased Shane McGowan already his legacy as a band. Now they announce a forty anniversary tour of that classic that is “Rum Sodomy & The Lash” (85).

James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacy They are still proud of their legacy and defending it on stage as a celebration of what they have meant as the band of undoubted influence. To replace the very important absence of his charismatic vocalist, Shane McGowan, the original members have once again decided to invite luxury vocalist to occupy their place.

On this occasion the vocal parts will be in the hands of Daragh Lynch (Lankum), Nadine Shah, John Francis Flynn and Lisa O’Neill.

As for musicians, accompanying Fearnley, Finer and Stacy will be Holly Mulineaux (bass), Jordan O’Leary (Banjo), Fiachra Meek (Gaitas), John Dermody (drums, Lankum member) and a wind section in charge of Pete Fraser, Daniel Hayes and Ian Williamson.

At the moment, the six dates of the tour – which will only be held in the United Kingdom – “A Celebration of 40 Years of Rum Sodomy & The Lash” are: Leeds (May 1, 02 Academy), Birmingham (May 2, 02 Academy), London (May 3, Academy Bryxton), Glasgow (May 6, Barrowland), Manchester (May 7, 02 Apollo) and Newcastle (May 8, 02 City Hall).
