After bringing together more than ten thousand people in its first weekend, the Patio Festival + Metropolis starting this Wednesday its activity will be transferred to Patio of the Provincial Council of Seville with four consecutive concerts, within an initiative that seeks to bring live music to different audiences and territories through a diverse program and popular prices.
This movement between the center of Seville and different municipalities in the metropolitan area summarizes a good part of the philosophy of an initiative promoted by the Provincial Council of Seville with a clear idea: expand access to live music, connect generations and reduce both economic and territorial barriers. Hence a program that combines different names, styles and audiences and a popular pricing policy that places tickets at 10 euros for the Patio and 5 euros for Metrópolis.
He Patio Festival + Metropolis This week it enters one of the central sections of its third edition. After booting with Abraham Mateo in La Rinconada and Cafe Quijano in Utrera, two events that brought together more than ten thousand people, the programming now moves to the Patio de la Diputación in Seville, where four consecutive nights will take place between September 16 and 19. The first shift will be for Tanxugueiraswho will perform this Wednesday the 16th as part of the presentation tour of Or Fourth. The trio formed by Sabela Maneiro, Aida Tarrío and Olaia Maneiro continues to explore the possibilities of Galician tradition from contemporary codes and celebrates a decade of experience with this work. Thursday the 17th will arrive Morgan with Morgan Hotela new chapter for the band led by Nina de Juan and its particular crossover between rock, soul and folk. One day later it will be the turn of The Planetswho return to Seville with their format Essential Concerta proposal focused on the core of their songs and in an essential format, the definitive synthesis, J and Florent, the creative core, accompanied by a piano and a flamenco guitar that with surgical precision reduces the song to its fundamental structure, almost completely detach themselves from weight and volume to offer an experience of proximity, lucidity and artistic truth. The Patio block will be closed on Saturday the 19th with Repionincorporated into the lineup after Ginebras announced the suspension of its performance due to a medical prescription from one of its members. The sisters Marina and Teresa Iñesta will bring to Seville a live show of guitars, drums and melodic tension that has made them one of the strongest names in the new state alternative scene.
After these four nights, Metrópolis will once again extend the programming outside the capital. Pablo Lopez will perform on September 25 in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Luz Casal He will do it a day later in Dos Hermanas and The Plazuela This third edition will close on October 3 in Mairena del Aljarafe.
Patio + Metrópolis thus maintains a formula based both on the quality of the poster and on its way of distributing music over the territory. In just three editions, the initiative has been growing without giving up that vocation of proximity: bringing large concerts to the Patio de la Diputación and, at the same time, circulating them through different municipalities to expand audiences and strengthen access to culture.
