The Asociation Associate Music Journalists (PAM) is pleased to announce the formation of its new board of directors with a view to giving new impetus to the project.
The new board of directors of PAM is a joint list made up of professionals from various fields and generations, which seeks to defend music journalism and give visibility to the problems of the sector. The president will be Manuel Pinazo (Muzikalia) and the vice president Sebas Alonso (Jenesaispop).
On the other hand, the members will be, in alphabetical order: Alex Gara (Radio 3), Asier Lozano (Dod Magazine), Elena Cabrera (Eldiario.es), Esther Al-Athamna (Spotify and TikTok), Joan S. Luna (Mondo Sonoro), Laura Pardo (RNE), María Ballesteros ( freelance) and Tomás Mayo (Altafonte)all of them recognized professionals in the sector with a wide and outstanding career.
The new board of directors of the PAM has proposed a series of measures to strengthen and revitalize the association, which aims to become an active and reference body within the music sector. Institutional relations will be promoted, developing strategic links with other institutions and organizations in defense of the profession and work will be done to maintain fluid and constant communication with associates, being a platform that disseminates their work and relevant news.
In addition, a debate forum will be created where members can discuss legal questions, labor questions, non-payments and subsidies, among other topics of interest. And finally, the Ruido Prize will be relaunched with new bases that promote diversity and variety of musical styles, ensuring that the richness of the current musical panorama is reflected.
We invite you to actively participate in this new stage, contributing ideas, collaborating on projects and being part of the impulse that we intend to give.
