The State Circuit of Popular Music Spinning Through Rooms (GPS) launches its fifteenth call for bands and soloists. It will be open from today until Wednesday, September 25 at 6 p.m..
After fourteen editions in which more than five hundred bands have participated with excellent response, the fifteenth edition arrives, which now opens its artistic call for a later selection of the bands and soloists that will participate in #GPS15.
Over the years, names such as: Sidecars, Depedro, Bizarre Love Triangle, Izal, Viva Sweden, Morgan, La MODA, Antonio Lizana, Rufus T Firefly, La Bien Querida, Leon Benavente, Varry Brava, Sexy Zebras, Rayden, Carlos Sadness, Miss Caffeina, Carmen Boza, Club del Rio, Cycle, El Kanka, Alice Wonder, Los Estanques, Your Other Pretty, Twenty-One, Travis Birds, Nat Simons, Queralt Lahoz, Lady Banana or Marilia Monzonamong many others.

The aim of the circuit is to “support emerging artists of all styles, both soloists and bands, by offering grants for concerts within the circuit of venues throughout Spain to promote the most lively expression of popular music. These concerts will be held outside the Autonomous Community of residence of each artist or at least 300 km from it. This is intended to promote new musical talents and their dissemination beyond their natural sphere of influence, as well as to encourage their professionalization. Likewise, artists will receive support for the production and promotion of their work, thereby promoting record production and the stability of the live music circuit.”
From all the applicants who meet the requirements, 22 artists (bands and soloists) will be selected, and from there a calendar will be drawn up in coordination with the venues and the selected artists. A minimum of six concerts will be organised for each of them, to be held between November 29, 2024 and June 1, 2025inclusive. Those selected will also be granted assistance for Record Production and Promotion.
Then, once the call for artists is closed, the call for rooms. It will be the Thursday, September 26 and will close at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Girando Por Salas is an initiative of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), with the Federation Coordinating the Popular Music Circuit (FCMP) as a collaborating entity. The Federation is made up of the following professional associations: ACCES (State Association of Live Music Venues), APM (Association of Music Promoters), ARC (Association of Representatives, Promoters and Managers of Catalonia), ARTE (Association of Technical Representatives of the Show), MUSICAT (Professional Association of Musicians of Catalonia), PROMUSICAE (Music Producers of Spain) and UFI (Independent Phonographic Union).
