The Murcian band Neon Route releases what will be his last single this year and which, at the same time, is surely the darkest song in his repertoire, “Vuela”.
The song has death as its background. It is placed in the mind of “a person in the last days of his life, when he has lost his physical abilities, all illusion and hope. In it he speaks to a family member, asking him to leave, to fly, to grieve in life”.
“Vuela” presents a vision of the dark and “more pessimistic side of the end of the life of an elderly person, who feels that his life has been extended longer than it should. A different and brave way of talking about death that is not present only in contemporary musical literature”. A song with an intimate and torn vocal performance by Ruto accompanied by sad atmospheric synthesizers, full of tenderness and despair. The song represents a more serious and mature side of the artist, which serves to close a year in the career of Bruno Laencina and Jose Antonio García.
During recent years the band has performed at different festivals such as Cooltural Fest, Bside, Fan Futura Fest or La Mar de Músicas, as well as different concert halls. In 2023 they presented their first work in Spanish “Reset”composed of eight songs produced by Brian Hunt.
They have received several awards during their career, such as the award for ‘Best song’ at the Rendibú art festival, the award for ‘Best pop-rock band’ at the CreaMurcia competition or the award for ‘Best debut’ at the Premios de la Murcian Music, which places them at the forefront of the musical emergency in Murcia and with natural and obvious expansion to the rest of the country.
