The MIN Awards open registration with a new voting system

The MIN Awards have opened their registration period for what will be its 17th edition, active until February 8. At the same time, those in charge have announced a new voting system.

The Independent Phonographic Union announces the opening of the registration period for the MIN Independent Music Awards 2025. The period is now open for all independent artists and labels that have published albums, EPs or self-released singles to register throughout 2024 and who want to opt for any of the different categories (twenty-three in total).

Organized by UFi (Independent Phonographic Union), the MIN Awards continue to be the largest showcase for independent music in Spain. This year, the gala will be held in April in a Spanish city that has not yet been announced.

On the other hand, this year the MIN Awards also present an innovative voting system that guarantees diversity and specialization in the selection of winners and which will be one of the novelties of this edition. A professional jury made up of journalists specialized in music and culture, promoters, venue managers, record stores, music supervisors, musicologists, producers and audio technicians, will be in charge of evaluating and voting in most categories. This jury will have diverse representation in terms of gender, autonomous communities and musical genres, and will work in two phases:

General phase: A large professional jury will choose the semi-finalists.
Specific phase: A smaller jury specialized in each category will make the final selection of nominees and winners.
The public will also have a prominent role, as they will be able to vote in the Audience Award, choosing their favorites among the candidates presented in the categories of Best Artist and Best Emerging Artist. All information about this new system is available in the bases published at www.premiosmin.com.

Prize Phases: Registration: Until February 8artists and bands can register their works. Reviews: They will have a few days to verify that the registrations were completed correctly.
Semifinalists: The professional jury will select the semifinalists and the public will vote for the Audience Award. Nominees: The specialized jury will choose the nominees and winners.
Official awards ceremony: In April the winners will be revealed in a night full of music and emotions.
