The Mallorcans Go Cactus return with “Qué Pasa”

The Mallorcans Go Cactus They have just shared their new single, the first preview of their second album “Plaza Patines”. The band has not stopped plowing the waters of the rock'n'roll since 2017, defining itself as “a sharp and elegant trio with an energetic live show full of sweat and dance.”

The group already has several EPs behind them: Pulaski Street (20) or “Hi, We Are Cactus” (17), and the disk “We Have Wasted The Chance But We Are Fine” (22). This 2024 comes with changes, among them their debut in Spanish, publishing a second album with the Hotel Records record label. “Qué Pasa” is the brand new letter of introduction of these renewed Go Cactus and the first single of that next full-length to come and which will be titled “Plaza Patines”.

Showing the most pop but also the darkest version of the band, “Qué Pasa” is, as they themselves confess, “about the spiral of nights, bars and empty conversations in which you find yourself trapped at some point in life. Without knowing How, you are home less and less and the nights turn into days in your city. The members of the group highlight the plucking, single chords and synthesizers that surround this song with a nostalgic and melodic layer, which breaks when it reaches the chorus.
