This year, the Festival Lem will distribute its programming in two stages. The first will be in May and the next in October with really attractive names of the experimental and avant -garde scene.
What better could have celebrated the thirty editions of expanding the expansive wave of the LEM or International Experimental Music Meeting Gràcia/Barcelona? Start the program on May 15 and close it on October 25. As usual, there will be some free concerts and some payment (all of them included in the May fertilizer or in the total fertilizer), but the important thing is the program that has been announced so far. And in it we will meet musicians from the caliber of Tim Hodgkinson (Henry Cow), Atsuko Kamura (Mizutama Shobodan/Polkadot Fire Brigade, Honeymoons) either Jochem Arbeitz (Einstürzende Neubautan)among many others.
The inaugural concert will have as its protagonist the sound artist and visual poet Alfredo Costa Monteiro – who was a member of Superelvis or Cremaster – on Thursday, May 15 at the Museum of the Music of Barcelona. Next we can see the Dark Ambient and Doom Jazz duo Madrid COMMITTE and also duo Northwestwith a show that combines music, dance and visual arts (May 16, Lakontra de Gràcia); to the trio formed by Eduard Altaba, Patxi Valera and Pablo “Pope” Volt and to the duo formed by Tim Hodgkinson (Henry Cow) and Atsuko Kamura (Mizutama Shobodan/Polkadot Fire Brigade, Honeymoons) With your show “Haiku” (May 17, Sedeta); The duo formed by Edurne Arizu and the Nan-Ai artificial intelligence model (May 21, Museum of the Music of Barcelona); The Barcelona duo Cibránformed by Riccardo Massari Spiritini and Adrià Bofarulland the resident artist of Gràcia Territori Sonor 2020-2021, Laura Llaneli (May 23, Lakontra de Gràcia) and, finally, the Barcelona project Art Quartetpropelled by the battery Genís Bagésand Electric Totemswith Dr. Truna and the French Pierre Bastienwho has collaborated with artists like Robert Wyatt or Aphex Twin (May 24, Sedeta).
On the other hand, for the second consecutive year, the Lem from Gràcia Territori Sonor and the cycle Night Discord of Discordian Records They will present on Thursday, May 22 a double session of free improvisation by artists of the local scene.
