Music news

The January issue of Mondo Sonoro is now on the streets

We start 2025 with a special issue dedicated to the best albums that have been released in Spain this past year. A selection that is headed by Carolina Durante and his brand new “Choose your own adventure”.

But 2024 has not only had Carolina Durante as protagonists. There have also been many important albums during all these months, both in terms of our national selection and the specialized lists that we dedicate to the different styles that usually populate the pages of our magazine. The same thing happens with movies, comics and books with a musical theme. You will find everything in a selection with the highlights of the year, in this very special issue that we just started distributing today and that will continue throughout the next few days.

But the issue is also populated with our usual interviews with artists such as Judeline. After four years of calm but unstoppable trajectory, the Cádiz native has finally published her long-awaited first album “Bodhiria” (Interscope/Universal, 24). And not only that, but he will take it to the stage with all the confidence that characterizes him.

“If I bother you, leave” (Raso Estudio, 24) is the third work of a quintet that has gone from being a funny group – without taking any merit away from the farce – to winning over an enthusiastic audience of different generations, piece by piece. Interview with Parksvr in this issue of Mondo Sonoro.

A few weeks before the publication of “The silence of noise” (Universal, 24), the debut album by Samuraiwe spoke with her about the creation of the most important project she has starred in to date. Aroa Lorente arrives to demonstrate what an artist he has become after these years in the industry.

For a few months now, the name of Yerai Cortes It’s in many musical conversations. The reason is the documentary “The flamenco guitar of Yerai Cortés”the first directed by Antón Álvarez (C. Tangana), which now reaches theaters throughout the country. His talent is more than worth it.

Gilipojazz they return with “Progress appropriately” (Precious Metals/Universal, 24), a second album with a more forceful sound, but as intricate and creative as their debut. Full, of course, of that joyful and hooligan humor that characterizes them.

And like every month, here we leave you a very special playlist to serve as a soundtrack for reading this very special issue with all the summaries of the year on a national scale. A selection of the 100 best songs recorded this year in Spain for the writing of Sound World.
