Levitants present “Las Cosas Importantes”, a new single that returns the band to its original phase made of a typically melancholy new wave.
The song, a declaration of love that remains faithful to the genres that define the band, is the second preview of their new project, which will finally see the light of day next fall.
The song marks a return to the more melancholic side of their sound, this time incorporating elements of nocturnal and danceable synthpop, with echoes of the British club scene. Without abandoning its alternative rock base, the song builds an intimate atmosphere on a base of guitars and bass with a marked pulse, until it gains intensity and leads to a more expansive final section where the synthesizers take on greater prominence.
“The Important Things” has been produced by Javier Vielba and recorded live by Raul Perez in the studies The Granada Mine. The song thus continues the path opened by their previous single, “Fondo de Screen”, and anticipates a work in which the band seems to opt for a more sophisticated sound.
