After almost twenty years since they published “Tucaratupapi”, that festive and Juerguista supergroup returns that is the G-5. Supergroup because it is the union of Kiko Veneno, El Canijo de Jerez, Buyo Bombo Hell, Tomasito and Diego “Mouse”.
It was 2006 when Kiko Veneno, El Canijo de Jerez, Muchachito, Tomasito and Diego Mouse They locked themselves in a study by Jerez and took out an album that was “more a party than an album, plus a declaration of freedom than a conventional recording.” They took the ironic name of G-5 and mixed rumba, flamenco, rock and what would tend with that ease that has also characterized their solo races. So well it worked that they became a cover of our publication.
Now they return with a new album called “Whoever wants to sleep to buy a mat”recorded in 2024 in Jerman’s house in Chiclana de la Frontera and that is published today on platforms of streaming and that will also be available in different physical formats. The album has been produced by G-5 itself next to Lele LeivA, who has also taken care of mixtures in Lelesound.
Rounding the play are guests Pepe Begines (Do not step on me that I carry flip flops), the bassist Juan Ramón Caramés and Rafael Fontaiña.
Although best of all, they will also be presenting it in concert and we can see them in Fuerteventura (July 4, Fuerteventura in Music), Barcelona (July 16, Alma Festival), Madrid (July 22, Nights of the Botanist), Valencia (July 25, Far Festival), Cartagena (July 26, The Sea of Music), Calvià (August 8, is Jardí), Gijón (August 5, Plaza Mayor), Zaragoza (September 5, Live Latino), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (September 20, LPA Beer & Music Festival) and Jaén (October 18, Osm San Lucas).
