The Australians The Cat Empire They don’t stop. Just a few days after releasing their new single and video, “Blood On The Stage”, they set the date for their next album.
“Bird In Paradise”the new and tenth work of the Australian band, will be released on March 7th of next year, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be able to hear new material until then. Quite the contrary, the group has been presenting songs. The latest of them is “Blood On The Stage”, one of the main singles of the album.
The Cat Empire is one of Australia’s biggest bands outside of its territory and is constantly touring the world. This is how they have built a reputation for offering fresh concerts that are pure multicultural fun, with diverse rhythms and above all a very natural inclination to get people dancing and having fun.
About his new album, Felix Riebl comments: “Musically speaking, ‘Bird In Paradise’ “is an Australian-Flamenco and Afro-Cuban project. We’ve taken inspiration from contemporary flamenco and Cuban music and combined it with the grit and grit of Australian rock history. Add Ollie’s jazz influence and you have a sound that only The Cat Empire can create. These influences are shaped by undercurrents from urban and outback Australia, adding an undeniable Australian twist to international sounds.”
The album will include the songs “Bird In Paradise”, “Blood On The Stage”, “Shooting Star”, “Going To Live”, “La Gracia”, “Devil”, “Doing Fine”, “Oh Eh” and “Sparrow In The Night”. To promote “Blood On The Stage”, the group has released a music video filmed in London over two days during the band’s shows at the iconic Electric Ballroom in Camden, as well as on the tour bus.
