After the success of the previous edition, which brought together more than 25,000 people, the island of Tenerife is warming up for another edition of the Boreal Festival with the first confirmations.
Rodrigo Cuevas, Iseo & Dodosound and Marala They are the first confirmations of the new edition of one of the world's leading “EcoFestivals”. It will be the absolute premiere of the three names in the Canary Islands, thus offering a unique experience on the islands. The festival will be held on September 20 and 21 in the historic center of the Silos.
Rodrigo Cuevas is presented as the headliner in this new edition. The Asturian will transfer his traditional folklore to the Canary Islands for the first time. Cuevas has captivated the public, media and institutions with his personal style, which breaks down the barriers between modernity and tradition. His work has taken him to tour throughout the peninsula on numerous occasions and this summer he will continue on an ambitious tour of cities and festivals.
Iseo & Dodosound They will present their new album “In the Storm” on the Boreal stage. In this, the Navarrese duo has consolidated its role as the great reference dub of our country. An album that has managed to bring the band even closer to its audience and that reflects the band's great adaptation to exploring new sounds and forms of creation.
Finally, the third confirmed for the Canarian festival are the Catalans Marala. Following a mix of tradition and rabid modernity, Marala have transformed themselves into a very fresh and notable piece of current music. Little by little they continue to break down barriers and perform at more festivals around the state.
A great batch of first confirmations very in line with the DNA of the festival. A space dedicated to sustainability, diversity and gender equality. The entry will be free, schedules and confirmation of more artists will come later. More information in: http://festivalboreal.org/
