Melody, after his presentation of ‘Es esca’ in the Grand Final of Eurovision, which has left the candidacy of Spain in the last position, publishes New Single, ‘The blackout’, officially announced two weeks before the electricity supply cut that affected Spain on Monday, April 28.
‘The blackout’ is a production of Dance-Pop Comercialota as those that were stylized in 2010, 2011 or 2012. This time, the reference does not seem to be glory Trevi, but the Jennifer Lopez of ‘Dance Again’. Melody is right bringing this petare sound back, although the melody – composed mainly by Juanjo Martin – could leave a less familiar taste.
In the days after Eurovision, the letter of ‘The blackout’ is adequate when talking about a person who “has touched back” but resurfaces again. Melody did not prefer its antepenultimate position in Eurovision, but the context returns to ‘the blackout’ a new meaning.
Melody will comment on Eurovision results in a press conference that will take place on Monday, May 26 at 4:00 p.m. in Prado del Rey.
These days, Melody has made his first public statements after the final of the contest. Sevillian has advanced that she will tell her long and hard impressions and has valued the importance of music and art, “although sometimes other things prevail.” Melody seems to refer to the controversy of the UER and RTVE following the statements of the public chain about the Gaza War during the second semifinal of Eurovision. Has Melody paid Eurovision’s punishment to RTVE, as some point out, or is it as easy as Spain has simply not received enough or public support?
