The Black Keys have canceled the 31 concerts in large venues they had announced for the North American tour of 'Ohio Players' without any explanation. The tour was going to begin in September and would have ended in November, with venues as important as Madison Square Garden in New York.
On the ticket sales page you can see how all the dates appear cancelled, except for one on July 6 in Chicago. The band's own page has also removed all tour dates.
Although refunds will be made through the original purchase method, many fans have been left speechless and others have blamed it on “very few sales” and “exorbitant ticket prices.” “Whoever thought of programming this band for stadiums in 2024 should be fired,” wrote one user.
The Black Keys just canceled their entire North American arena tour for this fall due to extremely poor sales (likely due to exorbitantly priced tickets — most markets were $100+ just to get in the building).
Whoever thought booking this band in arenas in 2024 should be fired.
