The best of Luna Ki is to come

Recently, Luna Ki invited the press to listen to her new songs. The theme with which the road to his new album is called ‘I am not goddess’. This has been revealed in recent weeks when a “teaser” replaced the audio of his hit ‘September’ in Spotify. Since last Friday, ‘September’ was again ‘September’ and people have been able to meet the new Luna Ki, after a trip that, as she herself told between tears in that presentation, almost takes her ahead.

‘I am not a goddess’ is a piano song in which Luna Ki fights to keep her feet on the ground. Among the words games, “I want to be real and not a queen”, “I want to be your wife and not your queen” or “that you kiss my lips, not my feet.”

In tune with the nakedness of the subject, the artist’s voice appears exempt from Auto-Tune and vocal modulators, while the piano has touched by Roberto Carcassés, who has collaborated with names of the size of Chucho Valdés or George Benson.

But it was Luna Ki herself who touched the piano herself in the aforementioned snack, as you can see in the video under these lines, before puncturing other songs that will be in her next album. There was a moment for salsa in a hítazo dedicated to a prostitute; There were moments for pop-rock on the Pignoise wave; and even for the Argentine sound of some Rodríguez.

A great compositional variety, in all cases with the greatest commercial potential than this ‘I am not goddess’, which leaves this song as a kind of special and spoiled presentation of a new era, such as “reboot” or “rebranding”, progress of an album in which self-tune and derivatives will be much more circumstantial. Welcome to a renewed (and even better) Luna Ki.
