The programme, which will start in the next academic year (October 2024), has been structured to address the current and future needs of the music industry. With a comprehensive and practical approach, the master’s degree will offer students a deep understanding of all aspects of the industry, from production and management to marketing and digital distribution.
The objectives of the Master in Music Industry at the UAM are to provide specialized knowledge on emerging trends and technologies in the music industry; develop practical skills in music production, artist and event management, and digital marketing strategies; foster a critical understanding of the legal and economic aspects that affect the industry, and facilitate the creation of professional networks and internship opportunities in leading companies and organizations in the sector.
The program has a prestigious faculty made up of active professionals and recognized academics. Among them is the producer and musical director of Alejandro Sanz, Alfonso Perezone of the only Spanish winners of an American Grammy and another Latin Grammy. In addition to industry professionals such as Javier Llano (deputy director of Cadena 100), Jesus Guerrero (Sony Music), Wilson Cavalcante (Universal Music) or Nico Castro and Alejandro Montoyaprogram directors who have more than ten years of experience creating companies and teaching classes at national and international level.
