The 11th edition of the Sopela Kosta Fest will bid farewell to summer in September

The concerts of a dozen groups will put the finishing touch, as is already tradition, to a week full of activities of the Sopela Costa Fest.

The festival Sopela Costa Festwhich has been running since 2014, will celebrate its eleventh edition between 20 and 22 September. This festival, which is aimed at all audiences and all ages, offers the possibility of enjoying the surroundings and natural heritage of Sopela (Bizkaia) through nature, music and surfing.

Surfing will be one of the main sports that can be practiced: EHSF Surf Championship, kayak surfing, adapted surfing… You can also practice sports such as calisthenics, parkour, slackline, Tai Chi or skateboarding, among others. And in addition to sports, there will be different courses and workshops and a photography contest and exhibition.

The sporting and cultural offer will be rounded off with the concerts that will be held, as usual, in the Town Hall Square. A line-up that includes prominent national groups such as Maruja Lemon and Arizona Babyhalf a dozen quality Basque bands like Bele, Janus Lester, The Cherry Boppers Meet Patricia Reckless, Txopet, Vulcanizados and Gingerand, to top it off, the American garage band Acid Tongue. A varied selection for different types of palates to enjoy.

In addition to all these activities, on September 21 there will be different stalls for sale, exhibitions and workshops at the “Surf & Skate Market”. The public will be able to enjoy a virtual reality activity in which they can practice sports such as surfing, paragliding or slacklining with 360º glasses. The opening will be on Zalbidena Street, between 11:00-15:00 and 17:00-20:30.
